Williamson County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Williamson County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) exists by State Mandate (PDF) to carry out the functions of maintaining chemical inventories of fixed facilities within the county, complying with the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) and Planning for hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incident response and notification.
The membership of the LEPC is recommended by the principal executive officer of the Williamson County Board for approval by the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), which in Illinois is the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS).
Requests for fixed facility chemical information, or submission of Tier II reports may be made to the LEPC at:

Protecting Communities from Chemical Accidents: Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act
This video aims to raise awareness of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) to new generations of planners and responders, state and local political officials, emergency management leadership and the public. It presents a basic level of understanding of the roles and requirements of EPCRA to maintain effective participation to protect communities from chemical accidents.
